Trust in the healing power of plants was practically part of aromatherapy practitioner and health scientist Ingrid Karner’s upbringing, as she grew up surrounded by herbs. During her pregnancy and parental leave more than 25 years ago, she began to explore pure essential oils intensively and eventually turned her hobby into a profession. As a specialist author and trained educator, she has been sharing her knowledge through lectures and consultations since 2002. In 2007, she founded the training institute aromainfo.at. In addition, she works as a lecturer in medical aromatherapy and aromatherapy care, providing in-house training programs. In this context, she conducted professional training sessions for midwives and registered nursing staff (DGKP), among others at LKH Oststeiermark between 2024 and 2025.
