Dr. Karin Bervoets has been running her own private practice since 1997, with a focus on Chinese Medicine and fertility treatments. She completed her medical degree and doctorate in 1990 at the Free University of Berlin and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. From 1991 to 1994, she worked as a research associate at the Goethe University Hospital Frankfurt and additionally provided medical services in emergency care until 1997. Her training in Chinese Medicine includes multiple acupuncture diplomas and two diplomas in Chinese herbal medicine, followed by extensive advanced training. She has completed further education with renowned teachers and has been active nationwide as a lecturer for medical societies specializing in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. From 2002 to 2015, she served as lead lecturer of the two-year training program in Chinese Herbal Medicine at ABZ Mitte in Offenbach. She is a co-author of several professional textbooks and a co-founder of the Center for Therapeutic Safety in Chinese Herbal Medicine (CTCA). She also founded and moderated the Fertility Symposium at the TCM Congress in Rothenburg. Since 2018, Dr. Bervoets has been a Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (ABORM, USA) and has completed additional training in systemic individual, couples, and sex therapy.
