Sonja Maric, M.A., is a medical ethnologist and religious scholar specializing in Tibetan Medicine, Buddhism, and Comparative Asian Medicine. Since 1995, she has undertaken comprehensive studies in Tibetan Medicine as the sole personal student and assistant of a renowned Tibetan physician. For more than 30 years, she has led and taught Tibetan Medicine training programs for medical professionals at the Institute for East-West Medicine in Bad Homburg, in collaboration with the German Medical Acupuncture Association (DÄGfA). She is also an active speaker and educator on Tibetan Medicine at national and international levels. Sonja Maric runs her own practice for Tibetan Medicine in Bad Homburg.
