Petra Bäumler studied Molecular Biotechnology at the Technical University of Munich and Public Health at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich. Since 2009, she has been working as a research associate in the Interdisciplinary Pain Clinic (City Center) at the Department of Anesthesiology, LMU University Hospital Munich. She completed her PhD in 2017 and her habilitation in 2025. Her areas of responsibility include the planning and conduct of clinical and experimental studies in the field of acupuncture and pain research, the organization of international collaborative projects, and the development of educational patient seminars.
